Chapter Two of DJ KANE's solo career begins
with the new album CAPITULO II-BRINCA! on EMI LATIN
After coming into his own in 2004 with his debut album, featuring
hit singles "La Negra Tomasa" and "Mía," DJ
KANE is about to unveil the next phase of his exciting solo career.
CAPITULO II - BRINCA! (Chapter II-Bounce!) is the title of DJ
KANE's second album. This multi-talented artist worked tirelessly
to lay down a fresh, booming sound that's primed to be the soundtrack
of summer. It's scheduled for an August 2 release.
DJ KANE himself produced the album and wrote most of its songs.
The first single is a thumping track that revisits DJ KANE's
cumbia roots - it's titled "¿POR QUE ESPERASTE?" (Why
Did You Wait).
This album gives more emphasis to DJ KANE's skills at Regional
Mexican music and cumbias, genres he has helped innovate and
broaden throughout his career.
Four fun duets are included on CAPITULO II - BRINCA!: DJ KANE
jams with the legendary "Rebel of the Accordion" Celso
Piña on "Mueve la Cintura," and he sings with
the superstar Mexican singer/actress Aracely Arámbula
on "Arriba." The talented ICE guests on the "Vente
Conmigo," while MR. MAR$ drops in on the English cut "How
We Do."
DJ KANE himself has been involved in every detail of this production,
and his visionary creativity suffuses the album from beginning
to end. But finishing the tracks just represented the first phase
of his hard work for this project. He then went through a photo
shoot and will film the video for "Por Qué Esperaste",
all in preparation for an intense promotional tour throughout
the U.S.
