This country girl speaks "Creole" French
and a little Spanish to add- She was born In the Crawfish Capital
town of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and raised In Houston, Texas.
She began developing her country sound and vocal skills by entering
into country music talent competitions and singing at some of
the best Grand Ole' Opry stages around Texas. Donna was twice
named "Best
Country Entertainer of The Year" for 1998/1999 and 1999/2000
hosted by The Magnolia Jamboree Country MUSK; Association. She
was voted "Best Female Modern Country Entertainer & Vocalist
of The Year" 2000/2001 at the "Best Of Texas Search" hosted
by The Lone Star Country Music Association.
In continuing on with her musical venture.
Donna performed at The 2005 Rodeo Houston & Livestock Show
at the same venue which presented national recording artists
Brooks & Dunn,
Allcia Keys, Clint Black and George Strait. In Houston's "Reliant
Arena" she also gave an astonishing special performance
for Rodeo Houston & Livestock Show's 12lh Annual 2005 "Western
Cala" hosted by "The Black Heritage Committee".
Mayor, Bill White and other major VIP's were In attendance.
Donna recently had an outstanding performance
at Fort Hood Texas Army Base to a crowd of 25,000 along with
national recording artists Joan Jet, JaRule, Xscape, Crupo
Niche, Melon! Cannon, Keni Thomas and many others. She was
given a beautiful appreciation plaque which was personally
presented to her by Lieutenant General Thomas F. Metz. Furthermore,
The Directorate of the "MWR" (Moral.
Welfare & Recreation) presented to her a "Commitment
To Excellence" medal for her outstanding performance for
the troops who recently returned from Iraq. Look for more performances
