The culmination of a concept to provide Tejano enthusiasts a
band with a unique and crowd pleasing flava, Ro'Records artist
Grupo Alamo has stormed the Latin Tejano scene all across the
United States for the past 11 years. Constantly setting new musical
standards with their energetic performances, and trend setting
albums. Managed by Ernest Gonzales Sr. and Jr. Grupo Alamo has
maintained its prominent status in the Music Industry. Their
greatest responsibility is to reach the audience and community
by presenting themselves in a professional manner in all aspects
of their work.
Originating from San Antonio, Texas in
1993 Grupo Alamo has noticeably been doing their homework.
In 1995 they were nominated for "Best Band, Self Produced" at the Pura Vida Awards.
In November of 1998 "Illusiones," Grupo Alamo’s
first album, was released. Two songs, "Camaron Peleao" and "Anzuelo
De Amor" listed in major publications like Radio Y Musica
and Antenna Magazine Grupo Alamo has had huge radio success charting
the top 10 in Texas, New Mexico, Chicago and California stations.
Their latest release "Sin Parar" is primed to build
on there previous success and set new standards. Receiving 5
Nominations for the 2005 Tejano Music Awards. Including: Male
Entertainer, and Male Vocalist of the year, Song of the Year,
Show Band of the Year, and Most Promising Band. Sin Parar has
spun off three hit singles thus far: Hello Baby Doll, Ven Mi
Amor, and Tu Juguete. Ven Mi Amor was charted in the state of
Washington for nearly 24 weeks.
Grupo Alamo has performed on several television
programs, which have been broadcast on major network television
networks The band members have been greatly involved with the "Stay In
School" program sponsored by the National Basketball Association
as well as performing at several schools in the surrounding areas.
Grupo Alamo has also participated in charitable events such as
the Annual "Feast of Sharing" Holiday Dinners, The
San Antonio Zoo’s "Festival De Animales", Raul
Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner, and several ongoing benefits and
festivals.
