Bursting onto the Tejano music scene in June of 1996, Lazzo
has created a tremendous following and is gaining momentum with
each and every show that they perform. Based out of Fort Worth,
Texas, Grupo Lazzo has created an explosion in the Tejano music
industry unlike any other.
In the short years that these musicians have been together,
their accomplishments read like the who's who in the Tejano industry.
Their awards and credentials include: Band of the Year at the
Fort Worth Weekly Magazine Awards, Showband of the Year for two consecutive
years at the Tejano Connection Awards and lead singer Jorge Zarate was the
recipient of the Best Male
Vocalist at the Tejano Connection Awards in 1998. Lazzo has also appeared on
the Johnny Canales Show gaining both national and international exposure. Playing
at venues in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Chicago, Washington, New Mexico, Arizona and many more states
have also given Lazzo the opportunity to expose and to share their music in
different parts of the United States.

on lead vocals and bajo sexto, Richard Cantu on accordion and
