KJ is from the Austin, Texas area. KJ is seventeen years old; juggling his music career, high school studies and early start college at Austin Community College. KJ recently performed at the Fort Hood for troops returning from Iraq and he also opened up for Lil Flip in Austin, TX, and most recently performed at the Kappa Beach Party in Galveston, TX. He gets Air play on the following radio stations: Hot 93.3 FM, The Beat 104.3 FM, 88.7 FM, and the University of Texas Radio.
KJ Hines has been selected to go on the BET Scream Tour 5 starting on November 22, 2006. Omarion, and Neyo, Pretty Ricky, Yung Joc, and Mario are some of featured artist that will appear.
