In 1974,Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, this fabulous
band comes together to become one of the major influences of
SALSA music. With the ingenious talents of it's director, Roberto
Rivera Martinez,(whom is also the bass player of the band) this
group brings together talented musicians and exquisite lyrics
and musical arrangements to deliver some of the genre's most
popular classics. In it's beginnings, even after La Solucion
acquired it's own fame, they were invited to accompany such artists
of international fame: Ruben Blades-1978/79, Celia Cruz- 1980,
Hector Lavoe-1986.
For it's excellent quality of musicians and
it's musical components the piano, bass, four trombones, conga,
bongo, timbal and 3 dynamic voices, La Solucion has made outstanding
impressions through it's trajectory. La Solucion has reached
acceptance in such cities like Boston, Chicago, New York, Miami,
Tampa and Orlando. Sales have impulses
live presentations in California, Connecticut, Canada, The
U.S. Virgin Islands, Dominican Republic, Panama, Costa Rica
and Cartagena, Medellin, Bogota,
Cali and Barranquilla in the beautiful Colombia. The success
of the band reaches such places as Lima, Peru and Spain in
it's recent trips.
In 1980 and 1981, they were awarded with
Gold Albums for themes such as "La Rueda" and "Al
Aire Una Canita" which
were interpreted by the Late Frankie Ruiz And Jaime(Megui) Rrivera.
