Emerging from a city not known for Spanish Rock,
Mantra has defied all expectations with their intense, high-energy
rock show that will leave the ultimate music lover begging for
more. Mantra delivers a spectrum of musical styles that unite
into incredible, radio-friendly, rock-pop music. Aleks' incredibly
melodic voice, Iván's Tex-Mex rock-driven guitars, Luis'
rock steady bass, and the thunderous beats of Alberto make Mantra
a show worth seeing over and over. Mantra's music has gained
influences from bands such as Incubus, Mana, Hoobastank, My Chemical
Romance, Soda Estereo and many, many more. In the winter of 2004,
Luis and Iván connected with Alberto to form a Spanish
Rock cover band for the simple love of the music. It was a month
later that the three were too good to play covers and Aleks'
came with a voice so huge that it could only sing Mantra songs.
The four began to compose songs with divine inspiration and the
music needed to be heard. After a year of playing in clubs around
the Midwest that would allow Spanish Rock, Mantra entered the
studio to record an album at Music Garage studios. One of the
attributes that singles out Mantra, is there ability to play
English songs as well as Spanish songs. Mantra's album will consist
of 12 songs. 10 of which will be in Spanish and 2 in English.
The cd will be titled Uno/One. The album is set to print in the
fall of 2005!!!!! Even though Mantra is releasing and indie record
they are still looking for the right record label to come around.
Mantra is now "the sought-out band" in the Midwest.
With songs already being played on the radio, Mantra is one step
closer to showing the world Spanish Rock at its finest. The moment
