Mary's Band

Mary Frometa was bom January 2,1973, in Bryan, Texas, to a Venezuelan couple. There was no doubt that she would inherit the musical gift of past generations, such as her grandfather, Mr. Billo Frometa. Residing in Venezuela, at the tender age of fifteen, Mary debuted as a soloist in the production of a folkloric presentation, which promoted awareness of the cultural rhythms and music of Venezuela, the origin of her roots. From that instant, emphasis was placed on her vocal talent, giving her the opportunity to showcase in various recording projects lead by her father, Charlie Frometa.

Full of dreams and ambitions, this young lady strengthened her natural talents by taking private instructions in singing, dancing, acting and modeling.

At the completion of High School, she began her studies for a career in journalism and public relations. This fundamental decision to attend the school of Social Communications at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, served as the basis that formed a strong foundation of maturity and responsibility that is critical in the music business.

In 1995, pursuing her dream, Mary Frometa moved to Houston, Texas. In time she became one of the pioneers of a highly acclaimed band in the city of Houston, GKC, also known as Grupo Ka-Che. She participated with this band as one of the lead vocalists for 6 years, which lead to their national tour. Mary Frometa has performed also with the Grammy Award winning band, La Mafia, on their 2000 Final Tour, along with other well-known Houston bands.

Today, with her vocal talent, charisma, elegance, professionalism and presence, Mary Frometa is the final essence that completes the highly energetic stage show of her very own band, MARY'S BAND. This zealous performer continues playing in upscale venues and private events in various cities in the nation and abroad. Mary has been conducting the segment Video of the Week for the national televised TV show Ritmo Latino, broadcast by Telemundo. At the same time, in March 2003 she started interviewing famous artist in one of the highest rating shows "El Gordo y La Flaca" televised by Univision.

Due to her ambitions to continue to florish, and to her own merits, Mary Frometa is now the exclusive Latin Artistic Representative for "Bud Light" from Sept 2003 till Sept 2004. For the 2001-2002 period, she did represent Michelob Light in the Southern Region of the United States. She toured with her band in the cities of Tokyo, Hiroshima and Okinawa, Japan, in October 2002 International Tour. Recently she returned from another tour through seven different cities in Japan and her first visit to South Korea.

Today MARY FROMETA begins a new level in her career of conquering the world with her enticing talent. She can also transform into the perfect instrument of seduction and romance. With her incomparable beauty, charisma and fresh personality, it is almost impossible to overtook the glimmer of this bright star: MARY FROMETA.
