Mary Frometa was bom January 2,1973, in Bryan, Texas, to a Venezuelan
couple. There was no doubt that she would inherit the musical
gift of past generations, such as her grandfather, Mr. Billo
Frometa. Residing in Venezuela, at the tender age of fifteen,
Mary debuted as a soloist in the production of a folkloric presentation,
which promoted awareness of the cultural rhythms and music of
Venezuela, the origin of her roots. From that instant, emphasis
was placed on her vocal talent, giving her the opportunity to
showcase in various recording projects lead by her father, Charlie
Frometa.
Full of dreams and ambitions, this young lady strengthened her
natural talents by taking private instructions in singing, dancing,
acting and modeling.
At the completion of High School, she began her studies for
a career in journalism and public relations. This fundamental
decision to attend the school of Social Communications at the
Universidad Central de Venezuela, served as the basis that formed
a strong foundation of maturity and responsibility that is critical
in the music business.
In 1995, pursuing her dream, Mary Frometa moved to Houston,
Texas. In time she became one of the pioneers of a highly acclaimed
band in the city of Houston, GKC, also known as Grupo Ka-Che.
She participated with this band as one of the lead vocalists
for 6 years, which lead to their national tour. Mary Frometa
has performed also with the Grammy Award winning band, La Mafia,
on their 2000 Final Tour, along with other well-known Houston
bands.
Today, with her vocal talent, charisma,
elegance, professionalism and presence, Mary Frometa is the
final essence that completes the highly energetic stage show
of her very own band, MARY'S BAND. This zealous performer continues
playing in upscale venues and private events in various cities
in the nation and abroad. Mary has been conducting the segment
Video of the Week for the national televised TV show Ritmo
Latino, broadcast by Telemundo. At the same time, in March
2003 she started interviewing famous artist in one of the highest
rating shows "El Gordo y La Flaca" televised
by Univision.
Due to her ambitions to continue to florish,
and to her own merits, Mary Frometa is now the exclusive Latin
Artistic Representative for "Bud Light" from Sept 2003 till
Sept 2004. For the 2001-2002 period, she did represent Michelob
Light in the Southern Region of the United States. She toured
with her band in the cities of Tokyo, Hiroshima and Okinawa,
Japan, in October 2002 International Tour. Recently she returned
from another tour through seven different cities in Japan and
her first visit to South Korea.
Today MARY FROMETA begins a new level in her career of conquering
the world with her enticing talent. She can also transform into
the perfect instrument of seduction and romance. With her incomparable
beauty, charisma and fresh personality, it is almost impossible
