DREAMS TO REALITY YOUTHFUL VISIONS
Mel Rodero was born with a seed inside him that has bloomed
into the artist he is today. Some of his earliest memories
were watching television and knowing deep in his soul that
he wanted to be a Star. "Since the age of 14, I've wanted to be a well-known
singer. I love the glamour that goes along with being famous," Mel
said INFLUENCES IN AN ARTIST'S LIFE Mel's family migrated
from Spain to Mexico. His father, a Head Football coach encouraged
him in sports. Mel went to college on a baseball scholarship
and was also part of the US shooting team. His mother, a
dance teacher, trumpet and piano player, inspired him at
an early age to perform and sing.
Whether he is playing sports or singing, Mel is driven to
doing his best. He has trained vocally with Ricky Martin's
top-notch vocal coach. "I don't like
or do anything mediocre. My goal in life is to first be a happy person but
secondly to be the best at whatever I do."
Growing up in metropolitan cities has given Mel the opportunity to live in
the "fast
lane," soaking up innovative and creative energies along the way. One of the
reasons Mel is a commercial pilot, who takes corporate executives nationwide,
is because he loves to experience new places and meet new people. Mel is working
towards owning his own plane and piloting himself to all of his shows. "I
admire and relate to John Travolta. He can sing and dance, act and he even
flies airplanes!"
And not unlike John Travolta, Mel has had his share of television and radio
appearances. He had a very successful nationwide promotional radio/television
tour where he appeared on "Sabado Gigante," "Hola America," "La Cocina Krisko" and "Hablando," all
based in Miami. Also, Mel has been featured on the popular San Antonio show,"Bailando." His
radio spots have included California, Florida, Texas and New York. Mel is a
producer, songwriter and singer/performer. He chooses songs that are an extension
of an experience that he has lived. His unique, emotionally charged voice shines
through his interpretation of a powerful song.
"They are songs that have a beautiful story that I can relate to that touch
me deep inside. Songs like a ballad that starts in a whisper and doesn't stop
until it climaxes. Or a Pop song that goes straight to the jugular."
MAN ON A MISSION
Met is working towards his first record deal. He wants to be the best Latin
pop singer in the world. His motto is "I am a Singer, but I want to be
a Superstar. Hey, the future is for those who believe in the power of their
dreams."
