In an industry where every possible frontier
has been discovered and conquered (and exploited for that matter),
Tomorowz Weaponz (IzReal, Psalmz, Architek) stands alone. They
may be the last pioneers in an otherwise over-cloned Hip-Hop
market, where if it does not sound the same, then it sounds just
like it.
Out of the gutters of Brooklyn's East New York section, T.W.
(for short) is on the verge of becoming the first transnational
Hip-Hop group. This multi-talented group, hailing from the Mecca
of hip-hop (New York), possesses the most important qualities
needed to be respected emcees: the ability to maneuver on any
beat, as well as the lyrical ability to captivate an audience
through one of music’s rawest forms of expression. With
their ability to rock mics both in Spanish and English, their
name suits them perfectly. The group is ready today, to conquer
tomorrow’s hip-hop scene- one where multi-lingual and diverse
cultures will be united under one common voice, Hip-Hop.
T.W. has already worked with some big names in both the Spanish
(Mexicano777, Voltio, Looney Tunes) and English (Alchemist – who
produced one of the groups' singles; Domingo – the late
Big Pun, KRS-1, and Ayetollah – who produced the groups
first single, Mike Jones to name a few) hip-hop scenes. These
names have recognized the group’s talent and they realize
it is only a matter of time before the world acknowledges what
they have already seen.
T.W. emerged on New York City’s hip-hop scene in the late ’90’s
with their first self-released vinyl (City of The Gods). Then
have also appeared on several compilations: Domingo’s Game
Over and Para Mi Gente – in both English and Spanish and
the Soundtrack of John Leguizamo’s /Jellybean Benitez’s
HBO/Cinemax movie NuyoRican Dream. These uniquely creative songs
inspired a following and were played regularly on several underground
and Internet/MP3 radio shows. This exposure also led to the group
being asked to perform at various venues with the likes of: DMX,
the late Big Pun, Dead Prez, Wu-Tang Clan, Boot Camp, DJ Tony
Touch, Jay-Z, Beenie Siegal, and Mos Def, Ludacris, Mario, Don
Omar, Voltio, Nicky Jamz and many more.
Though the group remains unsigned, it is not due to a lack of
offers from music companies. Simply, the group has always sought
bigger and better things, always believing and knowing that their
emerging musical prowess and performance track record will land
the group the most prestigious distribution and marketing deal
