Does your event need to add Latin Music entertainment?

It is a well known fact that the Hispanic community is the fastest growing minority group. As a result, many events are adding Latin Music entertainment to their events in order to increase attendance.

The most important question is what types of Latin music are right for your event. As with any style of music, your event will have greater success if you bring in established Headliners. If major Headliners are not within your budget there usually is an assortment of developing talent available. It is not unusual for an event to have a mixture of various Latin music styles in order to attract a more diverse audience.

There are a variety of styles of Latin music.

Mariachi - Enjoyed by people of all ethnic background.

Salsa - Enjoyed by Cubans, Puerto Ricans and Dominicans

Norteño - Enjoyed by people of Mexico, usually first, second or third generation

Tejano - Enjoyed by Hispanics raised in the US, primarily in the Southwest.

Spanish Rock - Enjoyed by Hispanics raised in Urban areas; a young demographic

Duranguense - Enjoyed by people of Mexico, most popular in CA and IL, 1st and 2nd generations.

Vallenato - Colombian music enjoyed by Latinos from Colombia, Mexico, Nicaragua, San Salvador, etc.

Latin Hip Hop - Enjoyed by the younger Hispanics raised in the US. The audience is nationwide.

Flamenco - Perfect for Latin conventions or events.

A good place to start your research is to contain Latin Radio stations or publications in your area.
